Community of Practice Workshops

Presented by

Alberta Home Visitation Network Association

This Month's Topic:

  • Exploring ASQ:Se Behavioural Areas

About the Series:

ASQ & ASQ:SE training can only cover so much material and as we start using tools in the real world, questions start to emerge, over time we lose track of details or as our Home Visitation practice grows, we want to look at our tools in more depth!

This is a series of topic-focused, monthly workshops that will each conclude with a Community of Practice style discussion about any aspects of ASQ and ASQ:SE brought forth by the group.

Each workshop will be stand alone and include:

  • A deeper dive into the topic selected for that month
  • The opportunity to practice or engage in an activity intended to take advantage of adult learning principles to ground learning
  • The last 30 minutes (approximately) of each session will be open to questions and discussion about ASQ and ASQ:SE in general, not limited to the monthly topic

Who Should Attend:

  • Previous ASQ and ASQ:SE training is needed
    • You are not required to have AHVNA ASQ training – contact Shannon training@ahvna.org for more information
  • We encourage individuals and teams to look at the monthly topic and attend any they feel would further support their use of ASQ or ASQ:SE with families or are interested in exploring further

Date/Time:

First or second Tuesday of each month from 9:00 am – 10:30 am – register for each month separately on our website.

Tuesday, December 14, 2021 9:00-10:30 am

Zoom link will be sent out the day prior to the workshop

Virtual Workshop Expectations:

This is a workshop where attendees will be asked to participate and discuss, including the use of break out rooms.

As such each person attending needs the following:

  • Computer with camera, microphone, and internet connection
  • Handouts may be provided; we suggest that you print them

If this is a challenge, please contact us; we can help problem solve.

We want people to get as much from our virtual workshops as they would from an in-person one.
