A workshop for anyone working in the human service field that is interested in improving their effectiveness in working with people.


Reflective Practice

An exciting opportunity to participate in this professional development workshop sponsored by the Alberta Home Visitation Network Association. Trained facilitators of the AHVNA will provide this two-day workshop for anyone working in the human service field that is curious about being reflective in their practice.


This experiential and interactive workshop will build on the skills in Reflective Practice. It will focus on:

  • What Reflective practice is
  • How reflective practice helps staff to do their best and the importance of self awareness
  • Recognizing and practicing the skills involved in reflective practice
  • Gain insight into the process of reflective practice
  • Enhancing your communication and supervision skills

Payments may be dropped off at the office or mailed to the address listed above prior to the workshop date. Receipts will be issued after the workshop.

Cancellation Policy:
We encourage you to send a substitute if you are unable to attend the workshop, as there is a NO SHOW charge for all absent registrants (as we will have made arrangements for food, etc). Cancellations need to be made ONE WEEK prior to the workshop date. Registration fees are non-refundable. Should a workshop not reach its minimum registration requirement, it will be cancelled ONE WEEK prior to the workshop commencement date. Registrants will be informed by email or telephone, and registration fees will be refunded.
