Recently a comprehensive review of Home Visitiation in Alberta was undertaken by Children's Services (formerly Human Services) in partnership with PolicyWise for Chidlren & Families. The purpose of this review was to assess the current state of HV services in Alberta, to inform the update of the 2004 provincial Standards and Guidelines, and to aid in strengthening and mobilizing capacity fo HV in Alberta. HV offers families valuable support to help ensure children have stable and healthy living environments in which to grow and develop. ongoing evaluation of these services is essential to continue to meet short and longer term policy and program-level objectives.

This presentation will provide a summary of the findings from the current state review, including: foundational themes, practice implications for home visitors, and operational and system considerations.

Payments may be dropped off at the office or mailed to the address listed above prior to the workshop date. Receipts will be issued after the workshop.

Cancellation Policy:
We encourage you to send a substitute if you are unable to attend the workshop, as there is a NO SHOW charge for all absent registrants (as we will have made arrangements for food, etc). Cancellations need to be made ONE WEEK prior to the workshop date. Registration fees are non-refundable. Should a workshop not reach its minimum registration requirement, it will be cancelled ONE WEEK prior to the workshop commencement date. Registrants will be informed by email or telephone, and registration fees will be refunded.
